Q.
Schwann cells are present in which part of a myelinated neuron?
NTA AbhyasNTA Abhyas 2022
Solution:
The neurilemma consists of tubular sheath cells or Schwann cells. The function of Schwann's cell is to produce the myelin sheath around the neuraxis (axon of a neuron). For the formation of axon sheaths, the plasma membrane of Schwann cells extends as a double layer which gets wrapped around the axon many times. The membrane fuse forming the myelin sheath.
