Solution:

Transcription is the formation of RNA from DNA. The RNA is further translated to form proteins. Reverse transcription is the process of formation of DNA from m-RNA. The DNA thus formed is complementary to the strand for RNA. It is catalysed by the enzyme reverse transcriptase.
