Solution:

The respiratory system is the organ system helping animals in breathing and gas exchange to utilize oxygen for respiration process. Animals show variation in their way of obtaining the oxygen depending on their complexity habitant among other factors.
Kangaroo is a mammal and terrestrial animal that obtains oxygen from the air via the lungs.
Pomfret is a type of fish that uses gills for breathing in water. The cockroach is simpler invertebrate compared to kangaroo and pomfret using tube-like structure called trachea.
Lastly, the earthworm is an annelid that uses its moist cuticle region for exchanging gases enabling breathing.
