: The biosphere or the ecosystem represents a stable equilibrium of various physical and biological factors. After the death of organisms of different trophic levels, the mineral elements contained in their utilized biomass are released to the physical environment through the activitiesof decomposers for recycling, from where these can be reduced by plants. In such cycling of mineral nutrients, both biotic components and physical environments are equally involved through series of chemical reactions and transformations.
