Solution:

Vallisneria is a submerged aquatic plant. Pollination in this plant is epihydrophilous. The pollination is achieved with the help of water. The male flowers are released from the staminate flowers and reach the water surface and expose the stamens. A single large female flower develops underwater and comes to the surface through the elongation of its peduncle. The male flowers that are dispersed aggregates around a female flower and pollination happen with contact between a stamen and the stigma. After pollination, the peduncle of the female flower coils up tightly and gets retracted underwater.
