Adenine and Guanine are purines which has two-ring structure whereas Thymine, Uracil and cytosine are pyrimidines having single ring structure. The nucleotide of DNA and RNA are not same as the sugar molecule is different. Ribose in RNA and deoxyribose in DNA.
