Q. Ratio of radii of second and first Bohr orbits of $H$ atom is :

Solution:

According to Bohr's rule $r \propto n^{2}$
where $r =$ radii of orbit
$n =$ number of orbit.
$\therefore \frac{r_{1}}{r_{2}}=\frac{n_{2}^{2}}{n_{1}^{2}}=\frac{(2)^{2}}{(1)^{2}}=\frac{4}{1}$
$\therefore $ Ratio of second and first orbit of $H$ is $4: 1$
