BVP MedicalBVP Medical 2012

Solution:

Quiescent centre is a cup-shaped zone of inactive cells in the root apex of angiosperm. Normally, the cells of the quiescent centre do not divide. The cells of the quiescent centre become active, whenever the active initials are damaged. It also acts as reservoir of cells relatively resistant to damage.
