Solution:

The tap root system consists of a primary root, secondary roots, tertiary roots and rootlets. The first root produced from the radicle of the seed grows up directly into the main or primary root. In dicotyledonous plants this root becomes more prominent and is known as tap root and many-branched roots arise from this by forming a tap root system.
