Q. Pressure exerted by a gas is

Kinetic Theory

Solution:

Pressure exerted by a gas is given by
$P=\frac{1}{3} \frac{m n}{V} v^2$
or $P=\frac{1}{3} \rho v^{-2} $
$ \therefore P \propto \rho$
Therefore, pressure exerted by a gas is directly proportional to the density of the gas.
