Q. Point out the best representation of relation between magnetic susceptibility $\left(\chi \right)$ and temperature $(T)$ for a paramagnetic material.

Magnetism and Matter

Solution:

According to Curie’s law
$\chi = \frac{C}{T} \Rightarrow \chi \propto 1/T.$
i.e., magnetic susceptibility is inversely proportional to temperature hence graph (a) is the best representation of this relation.
