Podocytes or foot cells are specialised cells of peculiar shape present in the epithelium visceral inner layer of Bowman's capsule, surrounding [he glomerulus. They possess foot like processes or projections, the pedicers. Hence, called as foot cells. Outer wall of Bowman's capsule is made of squamous cells.
