Rajasthan PMTRajasthan PMT 2006

Solution:

In some mangrove plants (plants growing in saline marshes) the tap roots become aerotrophic and come out of the soil. They are called as pneumatophores. The exchange of gases is done through lenticles (pneumaiothodes) e.g., Avecennia (bina), Haritiera (sundri).
