Solution:

The DNA replication takes place only once during the S phase of mitosis. The equational division also known as mitosis takes place in organisms having both modes of reproduction, asexual as well as sexual, both meiosis or reductional division involves the fusion of gametes and reduction of the chromosome by half, found only in sexual reproduction. In plant cells, the spindle formation is anastral (without asters) and in animal cells spindle has two asters, one at each pole of the spindle.
