Solution:

The replication is continuous on $3' 5'$ polarity strand because DNA polymerase can catalyse polymerisation in $5' \to 3'$ direction only and we know that DNA strands are complementary to each other. Thus, continuous synthesis occurs in $3' \to 5'$ direction.
