On passing $H_{2}S$ through acidified $KMnO_{4}$ , we get Sulphur.

$2KMnO_{4}+3H_{2}SO_{4} \rightarrow K_{2}SO_{4}+2MnSO_{4}+3H_{2}O+5O$

$5H_{2}S+5O \rightarrow 5H_{2}O+5S$

$2KMnO_{4}+3H_{2}SO_{4}+5H_{2}S \rightarrow K_{2}SO_{4}+2MnSO_{4}+8H_{2}O+5S$
