Solution:

On boiling red lead or lead dioxide with conc. $HNO _{3}$, they form per manganic acid due to which a deep pink colour is developed.
$2 Mn ^{2+}+5 PbO _{2}+4 H ^{+} \rightarrow 2 MnO _{4}^{-}$ $+5 Pb ^{2+}+2 H _{2}
O$ $2 MnCl _{2}+3 H _{2} O +5 O \rightarrow 2 HMnO _{4}+4 HCl$
