Solution:

DNA replication takes place during $S$-phase of interphase. Replication of $ 3\to 5 $ strand of a DNA molecule proceeds continuously its complementary strand therefore it produce leading strand, while the $ 5\to 3 $ strand proceeds discontinuousiy its complementary strand and called lagging strand. The small fragments in lagging strands are called Okazaki fragments.
