Gynoecium of Solanaceae is characterised by bicarpellary, syncarpous, superior ovary axile placentation, many ovule in each locule, ovary obliquely placed, posterior carpel to the right about $ 45^{\circ} $ from median and anterior to the left. The gynoecium of Brassicaceae is characterised by bicarpellary, syncarpous, superior ovary, unilocular but becomes biloular due to formation of false septum (called replum), parietal placentation.
