In $\left[ Ba _{4} O \left( NO _{3}\right)_{6}\right]$ four $Be$ atoms are located at the corners of the tetrahedron, with six $NO _{3}^{-}$ group along the six edges of the tetrahedron and the (basic) oxygen at the centre. Nitrate group, $NO _{3}^{-}$, acts as bridging ligand and forms a bridge between two Be atoms.
