Nucleosides are carbon compounds found in the cell which are made of 5C pentose sugar and one of the four N-bases. When to this molecule a phosphate group is attached, it is called as nucleotide. Nucleoside is generally made in the liver which is later changed to nucleotide helping in the formation of DNA and RNA. DNA forms the genetic material in the cell.
