NTA AbhyasNTA Abhyas 2022

Solution:

Nucellar embryo is apomictic diploid. Apomixis is a method of asexual reproduction which mimics sexual reproduction in seed formation without gametic fusion and fertilization. In this process, embryo develops from some other tissue without fertilisation e.g., nucellus or integuments or in fertilised egg. Nucellus is a diploid tissue so nucellar embryo is apomictic diploid.
