Solution:

In Cycas each archegonium develops from a single superficial cell of the endosperm near the micropyle. Usually 3-6 archegonia develop on one gametophyte. Each archegonium has 2 neck cells, a ventral canal nucleus and an egg. The group of archegonia are situated at the bottom of the depression called archegonial chamber.
