Solution:

Nitrous acid deaminates with decreasing frequency, the bases G, C and A in DNA and with equal frequencies in RNA. HNO2 deaminates adenine (A) to hypoxanthine (H) : Cytosine (C) to uracil (U) and guanine (G) to xanthine (X). It pairs with CÍž U pairs with A and X pairs with C.
