(2) $N _{2} O _{4}+ H _{2} O \xrightarrow{\text { Disproportionation }}HNO _{2}+ HNO _{3}$
(3) $\underset{\text{hydroxyl amine}}{NH _{2} OH }+ \underset{\text{nitrous acid}}{HNO _{2} }\rightarrow \underset{\text{nitrous oxide}}{N _{2} O} +2 H _{2} O$
(4) $\underset{\text{ammonium nitrite}}{NH _{4} NO _{2}} \xrightarrow{\Delta} N _{2}+2 H _{2} O$
