In angiosperm, ovules are the structures that give rise to the female reproductive cells having enclosed with integuments. The structure of the anatropous ovule bends down so that micropyle comes to lie close to the funicle. It is also known as resupinate or inverted ovule and is most common type of ovule which occurs in 82% angiosperms.
