Solution:

Mosses and ferns predominantly grow in humid environment. Both ferns and mosses depend on water for fertilisation. Therefore, they are called “amphibians of plant kingdom”. However, mosses show lack of vascular tissues thus they show greater dependence on amphibious environment.
