Given: Saturation vapor pressure of benzene $=120$ torr
Saturation vapor pressure of toluene $=80$ torr

Solution:

Total vapor pressure $=\frac{1}{2} \times 120+\frac{1}{2} \times 80=100$ torr

$y_{A} \times 100=x_{A} p_{A}^{\circ}$ as per Raoult's law

or $y_{t}=\frac{1}{2} \times \frac{80}{100}=0.4$
