Inheritance pattern in Mirabilis jalapa flower is an example of incomplete dominance. In this plant, two allelomorphic pair of the genes are not related as dominant and recessive. But the dominant gene in heterozygous condition has reduced expression, so that each of them expresses itself partially. This is called incomplete dominance.
