Solution:

I. Propionibacterium sharmanii is a bacterium which produces a large amount of $C O_{2}$ . This is responsible for the production of large holes which are seen in Swiss Cheese.
II. Streptococcus produces the enzyme 'streptokinase'. Streptokinase is modified by genetic engineering and used as a 'clot buster' for removing clots from blood vessels of patients who had a myocardial infarction.
III. Trichoderma polysporum produces 'cyclosporin-A', which is used as an immunosuppressive agent in organ transplant patients.
IV. Rhizobium forms nodules on the roots of leguminous plants through symbiotic associations. They are responsible for fixing atmospheric nitrogen in the soil.
