Solution:
- Taenia solium is pork tapeworm, which caused taeniasis. The fertilised eggs of pork tapeworm developed into shelled embryo called onchospheres. An oncosphere is the larval form of a tapeworm which is ingested by an intermediate host animal (pig). Inside the pig it is converted into a form called cysticerus.
- Amoebic dysentry is caused by protozoa, Entamoeba histolytica found in intestine of humans. Cyst is infective stage and Humans are infected by ingesting these infective cysts
- Filariasis is caused by Wuchereria bancrofti and Wuchereria malayi, coomonly called filarial worms, found in lymph nodes, and lymph vessels in lower limbs especially. Microfilariae larva passed from first-stage into third infective stage.
- Malaria is caused by parasite called plasmodium. There are 3 phases of life cycle in plasmodium:1)Schizogony 2) Gamogony 3) Sporogony. Sprogony is the phase of asexual multiplication, in this phase ookinete changed into oocyst, which undergoes multiple fission to form sporozoites. Sporozoites enter the salivary gland of mosquito and wait to be injected in humans.
