Ribosome is ribonucleoprotein which is made up of rRNA and different types of protein. 80S ribosome consists of 40S and 60S subunits, 40S subunit consists of 18S rRNA and 60S consists of 28S, 5.8S and 5S rRNA. 70S ribosome has two subunits 30S and 50S, 30S consists of 16S rRNA and 50S consists of 23S and 5S rRNA.
