Solution:

The given classes belong to the algal group and are also called as green algae, brown algae and red algae respectively. The Chlorophyceae have storage bodies called pyrenoids which contains proteins and starch. The Phaeophyceae stores food in the form of laminarin and mannitol which are complex carbohydrates and the Rhodophyceae stores food as floridean starch, the structure of which is similar to glycogen and amylopectin.
