Solution:

Ethanol is a type of alcohol that is a product of the fermentation process. Ethanol is widely consumed as a mix in varying degree of concentration (Wine, beer, whisky). Fermentation is an anaerobic respiratory process where many strains of Saccharomyces are used.
Clostrodium is a microbial source for commercial production of butyric acid.
Secondary metabolites like antibiotics are produced by the microbes which inhibit growth of other microbes. Chloromycetin is a type of antibiotics produced by Streptomyces venezuelae.
Microbes are used a direct source of food as they are rich in protein. Single cell protein denotes dead and dried cells of microbes where each cell is like a source of protein. Chlorella, a type of algae is used as SCP.
