Q. Man whose fossils were found in Shivalik hills

Solution:

Fossils of Ramapithecus have been discovered from Shivalik hills in India and date back to $14-15$ million years ago in Miocene. Its canines were small but molars were broad and flattened with thicker enamel.
The first fossil of Homo erectus was described in 1891 by Eugene Dubois from Java and was named as Pithecanthropus erectus meaning "ape man that walks erect" they were also known as Java man.
The first fossil of Australopithecus (first ape man) was the skull cap of child discovered in a lime stone quarry at Taungs in South Africa. Fossils of Sinanthropus were obtained from cave Choukoutein near Peking in China.
