Chhattisgarh PMTChhattisgarh PMT 2006
Solution:
The primary function of cerebellum is to maintain posture, orientation and equilibrium of body by co-ordinating and regulating tone and contraction of voluntary muscles, mainly according to the commands of cerebrum. Obviously, it receives sensory impulses from proprioceptors (minute receptors scattered in skeletal muscles, joints, tendons and ligaments), sends these to the cerebrum and receives, in return, motor impulses from the cerebrum.
