Cerebral aqueduct or Iter connects the lateral ventricles with $4^{t h}$ ventricle. It passes through the midbrain. The dorsal portion of the midbrain mainly consists of 4 round swellings (lobes). These are termed as corpora quadrigemina. Midbrain receives tactile and visual responses.
