Q. Liver in the body stores

AMUAMU 1996

Solution:

: Liver is the largest organ of the body. Along with other functions it is a storage place for vitamin $ {{B}_{12}} $ (the anti-pernicious anaemia factor) and the fat soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K. The liver plays a role in the regulation of blood volume and is one of the main sources of body heat. It is important in lipid metabolism. Cholesterol, which is found in most body cells and a major constituent of bile, is manufactured mainly in the liver.
