Leghaemoglobin $(Lb)$ is a red-pink pigment produced by root hair cell after being affected by Rhizobium bacteria. Leghaemoglobin regulates $O_2$ supply by creating anaerobic environment in the cell so that nitrogen fixing enzyme nitrogenase functions properly.
