Q. Law of limiting factor was given by

MGIMS WardhaMGIMS Wardha 2008

Solution:

Liebig (1843), proposed the law of minimum, which states that "when a process, such as growth, is governed by a number of separate factors, the rate of the process is limited by pace of slowest factor." 'Blackman' (1905) extended the law of minimum to formulate the law of limiting factors which in his own words is "when a process is conditioned as to its rapidity by a number of separate factors, the rate of the process is limited by the pace of slowest factor." Calvin (1954) (Nobel Prize winner) traced me path of carbon in photosynthesis. Arnon (1960) demonstrated cyclic and non-cyclic photophosphorylation.
