Kjeldahl method can not be used for compounds having azo groups $(-N = N-)$ nitroso $(-NO)$ azoxy compounds

and nitrogen in the ring (pyridine, quinoline etc.) Since, nitrogen in these compounds is not quantitatively converted into ammonium sulphate.
