Q. $K_{p} / K_{c}$ for the reaction $A(g)+2 B_{2}(g) \rightleftharpoons A B_{2}(g)$ is

J & K CETJ & K CET 2015Equilibrium

Solution:

$ A(g)+2B(g)\xrightarrow{{}}A{{B}_{2}}(g) $
$ {{K}_{p}}={{K}_{C}}{{(RT)}^{\Delta n}}_{g} $
$ \Delta {{n}_{g}}= $ change in number of moles = moles of product - moles of reactant $ =1-3=-2 $
$ \therefore $ $ {{K}_{p}}={{K}_{c}}{{(RT)}^{-2}} $
$ \Rightarrow $ $ \frac{{{K}_{p}}}{{{K}_{C}}}=\frac{1}{{{(RT)}^{2}}} $
