Solution:

$K_{2}\left[HgI_{4}\right] \rightarrow 2K^{+}+HgI_{4}^{2 -}$
$\Rightarrow i=1+\left(n - 1\right)\alpha $
$\Rightarrow i=1+\left(3 -1\right)\times 0.55\left(\because n = 3\right)$
$\therefore \, i=2.1$
