Joule-Thomson effect is the phenomenon, in which the temperature of a gas, when it is made to expand adiabatically from a region of high pressure to a region of low pressure, suddenly decrease. The Joule-Thomson effect is iso-enthalpic process, as there is no change in enthalpy during process.
