The d-and f-Block Elements

Solution:

An Interstitial compounds, or interstitial alloy, is a compound formed when an atom with a small enough radius sits in an interstitial 'hole' in a metal lattice. Since there is no proper proportional bonding in every space in the crystal lattice, it is is non-stoichiometric and also neither typically ionic and covalent.
