Q. Insulin contains 3.4% sulphur. What will be the minimum molecular weight of insulin ?

Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry

Solution:

For minimum molecular mass, insulin must have at least one sulphur atom in its one molecule
If it has $3.4\,g\,S$, the mol. mass $=100$
If it has $32\, g S$, the mol. mass $=\frac{100\times32}{3.4}$
$=941.176$
