Q. In Young's experiment the wavelength of red light is $7.8 \times 10^{-5} cm$ and that of blue light is $5.2 \times 10^{-5} cm$. the value of '$n$ for which $(n+1)$ th blue bright band coincides with $n t h$ red bright band is

Solution:

$(n+1) 5.2 \times 10^{-5}=n \times 7.8 \times 10^{-5}$
$\Rightarrow 4(n+1)=6 n$
$\Rightarrow 2 n=4 \Rightarrow n=2$
