Q. In YDSE angular fringe width is $0.1 rad$ wavelength of light used is $6000\, \mathring{A}$. Find distance between two slits.

JIPMERJIPMER 2019Wave Optics

Solution:

Given, $\theta=0.1 rad$
$\lambda=6000 \mathring{A}$
And we know that,
$\theta=\frac{\lambda}{d}$.
Where $d=$ distance between slits
$d=\frac{\lambda}{\theta}=\frac{6000 \times 10^{-10}}{ A ^{-10}}=6 \times 10^{-6}=6 \mu m$
