Phylloclade is green photosynthetic flattened or rounded succulent stem with reduced leavesmodified into spines. Phylloclade is seen in Opuntia, Casuarina, Euphorbia, Cactus. Cladode is a also a modification of stem which usually is one or two internodes long and is succulent. Cladode is seen in Asparagus and Ruscus.Phyllode is a modification of leaf in which its petiole becomes flat and functions as normal leaf. It is seen in Australian acacia.
