In the night of December $2-3$, $1984$, gas clouds of methyl iso-cyanate $(MIC)$ are formed in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The cause was leakage from the pesticide plant in union carbide India limited. The gas had acute health effects as well as long term effects. The leaked acute effects lead to the death of more than $3000$ people. Acute effects included suffocation, vomiting, pulmonary oedema as well as cerebral oedema.
